Job summary
Hitachi Energy USA INC seeks an experienced electrical/mechanical engineer to design high‑voltage substations and FACTS projects. You will drive base and detailed designs, coordinate across disciplines, and develop station layouts and grounding plans to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience with high-voltage substations and/or FACTS.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE requirements.
- Experience with Revit 3D modeling and BIM / Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Develop base and detailed electro-mechanical designs for FACTS and HV substations.
- Coordinate mechanical engineering activities across projects and disciplines.
- Prepare station layouts, grounding plans, and lightning protection plans.
- Perform mechanical calculations related to grounding, illumination, magnetic fields, and structures.
- Create and review 3D plant models using Revit and BIM tools.
- Support testing, installation, and commissioning activities with technical input.
- Review vendor drawings, technical documentation, and bid responses.
