Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Test Specialist to join our team. This role tests power bushings up to 230 Kv (200 Kv BIL) to ensure products meet design specs and industry standards. You will read safety procedures and assembly drawings, run LTC, VRLTC, HVT, PBA and DeTc tests, and clearly report results to engineers and quality teams.

Lifting up to 35 pounds is required. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or two-year certificate in a related field and two years’ testing or

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or two-year certificate in Engineering Technology, Industrial Electricity, Electronics Technology or related field.
• Two years’ experience in product testing or quality assurance or closely related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Read safety procedures and assembly drawings.
• Test LTC, VRLTC, HVT, PBA, and DeTc products to applicable specs.
• Communicate test results and failures to engineers or QA.
• Continuously train on new equipment or processes for testing power bushings.
• Lift and maneuver up to 35 pounds safely.
• Document and communicate test results clearly.
