Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Test Specialist to join our team. The role focuses on testing power bushings up to 230 Kv (200 Kv BIL) and ensuring products meet design specifications and industry standards.

You will read safety procedures and assembly drawings, document results, and communicate findings to engineers. The position requires an associate degree or two-year certificate and two years of testing/QA experience, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Ability to read safety procedures and assembly drawings.
• Test LTC, VRLTC, HVT, PBA, DeTc products per specs.
• Communicate test results and failure modes to relevant teams.
• Train on new equipment and processes.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds.
• Document test results and failures accurately.
• Assist with assembly/crating for LTC, VRLTC, HVT products.
• Learn assemblies outside testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend safety procedures and drawings.
• Test specified power bushings to applicable specs.
• Communicate results to supervisors/engineers.
• Train on new equipment and processes as needed.
• Lift up to 35 pounds safely.
• Document results and failures clearly.
• Assist with LTC/VRLTC/HVT assembly and crating.
• Learn non-testing assemblies when required.
