Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Test Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on testing power bushings up to 230 Kv (200 Kv BIL) and ensuring products meet design specifications and industry standards.

You will follow safety procedures and work instructions while performing production and special tests. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or a two-year certificate in engineering technology or related field, at least two years' testing/quality assurance experience,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two-year certificate required.
• Two years' experience in product testing or quality assurance or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions and assembly drawings.
• Test LTC, VRLTC, HVT, PBA, DeTc products to applicable specifications.
• Communicate test results and/or failure modes to supervisor, design or manufacturing engineer, or quality department.
• Continuously train on new equipment or new processes required to test power bushings.
• Able to regularly pick up and manipulate up to 35 pounds safely.
• Accurately document and communicate test results and failures.
• Some assembly / crating for LTC, VRLTC, HVT products; learn assemblies outside testing.
