Job summary

SB Energy seeks a Manager, HV Electrical Engineering to lead HV/MV electrical engineering scope for hyperscale AI data center campuses. You will own substations, transmission, interconnections, BESS/UPS, and grid integration from concept through commissioning.

The role requires deep experience in power systems, ABET-accredited degree, PE is a plus, and ability to coordinate with utilities, EPCs, and vendors. Location includes multiple US sites, with travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in power systems engineering for HV/MV
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering focused on power systems; PE a plus
• Experience with HV substations and utility interconnections
• Ability to coordinate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, EPCs, OEMs and data center teams
• Strong knowledge of high-reliability electrical architectures (N+1, 2N) for data centers

Responsibilities

• Own HV/MV scope for hyperscale data centers, including interconnections and substations
• Lead design and technical reviews for HV/MV systems from concept to commissioning
• Coordinate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, EPCs and vendors to resolve issues
• Develop high-reliability architectures for AI data center loads
• Review protection, SCADA, and telecom interfaces to ensure standards
• Provide technical leadership to consultants and engineering partners
