Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking an experienced HV Strike Team Technician I to support planned NERC outages, high-voltage maintenance, testing, and compliance work. The role involves coordinating with multiple teams, interpreting electrical schematics, and ensuring safety during outages. Based at a renewables site with 40%–50% travel.

The position requires reading DC schematics, relay drawings, and field work packages, with emphasis on safety practices and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED required.
• 4+ years of experience in HV operations or related field.
• Valid driver’s license (non-CDL) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine work in the construction and maintenance of substation, transmission, and collection system equipment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe outage execution.
• Document test results, redlines, and closeout records for turnover packages.
