Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking an HV Strike Team Technician I to support planned outages, high-voltage maintenance, testing, and PRC-028 compliance. You will collaborate with engineering, project management, and vendors to complete outages safely within defined windows.

The ideal candidate will travel 40%–50%, reside in TX/CO/NM/KS/OK, and read DC schematics, one-line diagrams, and relay drawings. This is a full-time role at a Renewables site with strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High school or GED is required.
• 4+ years of experience in HV/substation environments.
• Valid driver's license (non-CDL).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine work on substation, transmission, and collection system equipment.
• Coordinate outages, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Support site readiness reviews and documentation.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance during outages.
• Maintain inventory and vendor coordination for HV assets.
