Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Field Operations High Voltage Technician II to support maintenance and reliability of substations, transmission, and HV systems in Mississippi. You will collaborate with senior techs, inspect equipment, diagnose faults, and assist in commissioning new HV gear.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 2+ years in HV maintenance, a valid license (non-CDL), and a willingness to travel regionally. Relocation assistance may be provided for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• Experience: 2+ years
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on substation, transmission, and collection system equipment.
• Assist in inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of high voltage systems and equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities within designated geographic area and with support from Energy Resource Control Center and Technical Services.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and accurate maintenance records.
