Job summary

NextEra Energy in Mississippi is hiring a Field Operations High Voltage Technician II for the Greer Solar site in Hallandale. You will support safe operation of high voltage electrical systems, assist in inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HV equipment, and work with senior technicians to diagnose faults.

This role emphasizes safety, routine testing, equipment commissioning, coordinating maintenance, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• 2+ years of experience
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
• Associate's Degree preferred (optional)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine work in construction and maintenance of substation, transmission, and collection system equipment
• Work with data communication equipment
• Report and coordinate emergency response and repair to HV equipment within an assigned area
• Establish and maintain HV inventory, equipment, and vehicles
• Maintain adherence to safety culture, policies, and processes
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
