Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources seeks an HV Strike Team Technician I to support planned NERC outages, high-voltage maintenance, testing, and PRC-028 compliance across NEER generating fleets. Must read DC schematics and relay drawings, work with diverse teams, and travel 40–50% with potential night/weekend support.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of HV experience, High School diploma, and a valid non-CDL driver’s license, with preferred Associate’s degree and CDL.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED required.
• 4+ years of experience.
• Valid Driver's License (NON-CDL).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on substation, transmission, and collection system equipment.
• Coordinate with cross-functional assets and resources in assigned areas.
• Ensure safety compliance and outage execution within defined windows.
• Document test results, discrepancies, and closeout records.
• Support readiness reviews, access control, and materials provisioning.
