Job summary

Dashiell is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to lead field testing, commissioning, and maintenance at high-voltage substations. You will direct crews, ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction while coordinating with project leadership.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years in HV testing/commissioning, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to travel as needed. Valid driver’s license and readiness for field duties are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent field tech experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years in high-voltage electrical testing and commissioning with crew leadership.
• Expert knowledge of electrical testing/commissioning including hi-pot, turns ratio, power factor, and relay testing.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee field testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities on high-voltage projects, ensuring safety, scope, and quality.
• Lead field crews across multiple engagements and coordinate daily work activities and resources.
• Serve as primary client-facing representative, maintaining professional communication and alignment of expectations.
• Develop switching orders, test procedures, and commissioning plans for assigned projects.
• Review and approve test reports and commissioning documentation for quality deliverables.
• Mentor and train Field Service Technicians; support onboarding of new personnel.
