Job summary

Dashiell is seeking a Senior Technician to perform electrical testing, maintenance, and start-ups of high voltage substations at our Deer Park, TX site. This position requires leadership as a crew lead, interfacing with clients and maintaining strict safety practices on each job.

Qualifed candidates have extensive HV testing experience, strong knowledge of switching operations, and proficiency in reading electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
Ten+ years of electrical testing, maintenance, and startup experience with high voltage substations.
Experience with low/medium/high voltage switching operations in various configurations.
Ability to read one-line/three-line diagrams and transformer configurations; knowledge of IEEE/NETA standards.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical testing on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear.
Lead crew and serve as client contact, ensuring safe work practices.
Generate technical reports detailing services provided and actions taken.
Coordinate project status with management and schedule manpower/equipment.
Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety protocols (Zero Tolerance).
Travel to job sites and perform other duties as required.
