Job summary

Suzano is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer - High Voltage to lead capital projects sustaining electrical infrastructure in our paper mill operations. This hands-on role emphasizes project execution, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration with vendors to ensure reliability and asset longevity.

You will work with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations to manage spares, monitor electrical parameters, and uphold safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in pulp & paper, chemical, or oil & gas industries.
• Strong background in power distribution, controls, PLCs, drives, and HV systems.
• Experience with GE, Allen-Bradley, and Westinghouse equipment.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Experience managing contractors and vendors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and manage electrical improvement projects (power distribution systems, crane controls, drives upgrades, power quality studies, machine room equipment, cameras).
• Address ongoing electrical issues and identify critical spares to ensure operational continuity.
• Collaborate with internal teams and interface with contractors and vendors to execute capital projects.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation using SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
• Monitor key electrical parameters and identify opportunities for system optimization.
• Troubleshooting electrical faults and making repairs to equipment and utility systems.
• Support mill operations by ensuring electrical systems meet safety, reliability, and performance standards.
• Communicate effectively across departments to align priorities and share technical insights.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating effective time management and prioritization.
