Job summary

Turner’s Outdoorsman in Goodyear, AZ seeks a Hunting Department Manager to lead the department alongside the Store Manager, ensuring sales goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability growth while championing the Turner's brand and culture.

The role requires 2+ years in retail leadership, knowledge of hunting/shooting sports, and eligibility to work in a firearms environment. Expect ~45 hours weekly with OT, and a strong emphasis on customer service and operations management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• At least 2 years in retail with a leadership role.
• Knowledge about hunting, fishing/tackle & shooting sports.
• Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment.
• Must be 21 years or older; Certificate of Eligibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Hunting Department.
• Provide excellent customer service and drive sales.
• Advertise and promote Turner's Outdoorsman products and events.
• Ensure customers have a full service, high-value shopping experience.
• Receive stock and display merchandise.
• Release customer firearms.
• Source, place, and follow up on orders.
• Maintain audit records accuracy and receive merchandise.
• Load/unload trucks; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Cover breaks and other duties as needed.
