Job summary

Turner’s Outdoorsman in Paso Robles, CA is seeking a Hunting Department Manager to assist the Store Manager and lead sales, customer service, and department operations. This full-time role requires at least 2 years of lead retail experience and knowledge of hunting, fishing, and shooting sports.

The position includes responsibilities such as stock receiving, displays, handling firearms, order follow-ups, and auditing records.

Qualifications

• High school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years of prior retail and sales experience in a lead position.
• Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing/Tackle, & Shooting Sports.
• Legally eligible to work in a firearms environment.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• May require Certificate of Eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for operations of the Department
• Provides excellent customer service and salesmanship
• Effectively advertises and promotes Turner’s Outdoorsman products and events
• Ensures customers enjoy a full service and high value shopping experience
• Receives stock and displays merchandise
• Releases customer firearms
• Sources, places and follows up on orders
• Responsible for audit records accuracy
• Responsible for accurately receiving merchandise
• Responsible for loading/unloading truck-- lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Perform other duties as assigned which includes but not limited to covering employee breaks and/or lunches in other departments as needed
