Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife seeks a Hunter Education Administrative Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the Hunter Education Program in Olympia. Qualifications

  • Option 1: High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, or general administrative work
  • Option 2: Experience as an Administrative Assistant 3 or higher for a Washington State Natural Resource agency
  • Certifications/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher in business administration or related field; familiarity with hunter education program activities; proficiency with Microsoft Suite products.

Responsibilities

  • Provide lead administrative support services related to the hunter education program.
  • Direct interface with hunter education instructors via phone or email to answer questions and provide support services.
  • Coordinate with office managers and customer support staff in other programs and the 6 WDFW administrative regions regarding public services.
  • Serve as administrative contact for 3rd-party hunter education course provider; manage data downloads and generate reports.
  • Lead tri-annual statewide instructor in-service training; develop materials and coordinate venue, facilities, and logistics.
