Job summary

Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department. The successful candidate will coordinate the Human Services program, teach courses in case management, counseling and addiction treatment, supervise field internships, and contribute to curriculum development.

This 175-day, 10-month assignment begins August 2022.

Qualifications

• Master’s or BA + experience as outlined in Board Policy 7211 (or equivalent) is required.
• Diversity, equity, and inclusion responsibilities are emphasized in program and student support.

Responsibilities

• Teach Human Services courses including case management, counseling, and addiction treatment.
• Provide orientation and supervision for field internships.
• Hold scheduled office hours; participate in program review and curriculum development.
• Act as primary contact and coordinator for the Human Services program; schedule classes.
• Coordinate with Human Resources to recruit, hire, mentor and evaluate part-time faculty.
