Qualifications

  • Course design, evaluation, and assessment methods which enhance student learning.
  • Interrelationship of critical thinking, reading, and writing and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge to instruction.
  • Currency in the instruction of Human Anatomy and Human Physiology lectures and laboratories, including the use of human cadavers.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching strategies that address the needs of students with a variety of learning styles.

Position Summary

Allan Hancock College is a California public community college located in northern Santa Barbara County. The college is ranked as one of the five best community colleges in California and one of the top 120 community colleges in the nation. Approximately 11,500 credit students enroll each semester at one of the college's four locations in Santa Maria, Lompoc, Santa Ynez Valley, or at Vandenberg Space Force Base. This tenure-track assignments will beginAugust 2022. New faculty will be invited to teach a variety of courses and will also contribute through instruction and service to expanding the department's learning communities in support of our Latinx, AAPI, and African American students, as well as other historically underrepresented student populations.

Additional Information

The hiring salary range is $57,858 to $82,391 dependent upon education and experience.
