Baltimore County is seeking a Bilingual Human Services Assistant (Non-Merit) in the Bureau of Community Health Services, Cancer Program, Department of Health and Human Services in Towson, MD. Under close supervision, the incumbent determines eligibility for programs, assists with case management and client navigation, and supports outreach and documentation.
Qualifications include an associate degree in social/behavioral science, fluent Spanish, and strong record-keeping and communication
Regular Schedule: 34 hours per week
A Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Bureau of Community Health Services, Cancer Program, Department of Health and
Human Services.
Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.

Under close supervision, determines eligibility of applicants for various programs and services in areas such as public or mental health, social services, and aging; and assists Human Services Associates and other professionals with case management and/or client navigation and linkage to care.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate of arts degree in a social or behavioral science.
(Experience in individual, group, or family counseling or in intake and referral work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years for the required education.)
Ability to speak Spanish fluently
Proficient in english and at least one other language to assist LEP clients
