Job summary

The City of New York's New York City Commission on Human Rights is seeking an experienced Mediation Program Attorney to help ensure access to high‑quality mediation services across NYC. • Admission to the New York State Bar and four years of recent full-time legal experience after admission.
• Eighteen months of which must have been in supervision of other attorneys in an administrative, managerial, or executive capacity.
• Incumbents must remain admitted to the New York State Bar in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mediations of NYCHRL complaints referred by the Commission’s Office of Civil Rights Enforcement.
• Perform pre-mediation factual and legal analysis and draft settlement agreements for matters resolved in mediation.
• Manage mediation case workload and deadlines in a high-volume docket across all stages.
