Job summary

The Foundation for California Community Colleges is seeking an HR Student Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the HR department, including onboarding activities and processing Workday transactions. You will help the Talent Acquisition team with Jobs Inbox requests and triage HR Help Desk tickets while collaborating with other Foundation teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled student in a higher education institution.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Must maintain current enrollment with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Responsibilities

• Assist onboarding lifecycle for Foundation programs.
• Support HR staff with Workday transactions and HRIS data changes.
• Triage HR Help Desk tickets and Jobs Inbox requests for Talent Acquisition.
• Provide occasional Salesforce support and collaboration with other departments.
• Assist with employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, and CalPERS enrollment processes.

What You'll Do

The Human Resources (HR) Student Assistant is primarily responsible for providing administrative assistance and day-to-day support to the Human Resources Department. The HR Student Assistant will perform a wide variety of functions to support the activities of the department, including, but not limited to, the onboarding life cycle for Foundation programs. The HR Student Assistant will support the Business Insights HR Business Partners and other HR staff with Workday Business Process transactions; provide HR services while delivering excellent customer service, accuracy, responsiveness, and positive relationship building in a fast-paced environment. Effectively collaborate with other Foundation departments and program areas to help meet the goals of the Business Insights department Triage support for JIRA HR Help Desk tickets for all employees and for Jobs Inbox requests for the Talent Acquisition Team . With occasional Salesforce support as well for programs Supports the HR Business Insights Team with employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, and various data changes in Workday (HRIS), and CalPERS retirement system enrollment Audit the New hire report and distribute it with the Back office teams

Attributes for Success

Must be a currently enrolled student at a higher education institution. High School diploma or GED required. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a customer service-oriented environment required; office environment preferred. Must be currently enrolled at an accredited College or University and carrying a minimum of six (6) semester units or nine (9) quarter units and a minimum of 2.0 GPA. Human Resources or a business-related major and/or experience preferred.

Budgeted Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - $20.00 Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
