Job summary

HR Jobs is seeking a bilingual Human Resources Specialist to support team member relations and HR programs across the Americas. The role focuses on policy application, training, surveys, and benefits administration within a manufacturing context.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in HR/Business, 6+ years in HR generalist roles, and proficiency with HRIS/Oracle; bilingual English and Spanish and/or Portuguese are preferred. Onsite in Jackson, TN with evening shift expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • PHR or SPHR designation preferred.
  • Greater than 6 years of HR generalist experience with advanced team member relations exposure.
  • Experience in corporate and manufacturing settings.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and prioritize activities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Strong project and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/Oracle systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure standardized, policy-compliant hiring for hourly team members.

  • Assist with negotiating service contracts.
  • Support administration of team member survey.
  • Analyze morale using multiple methods.
  • Execute team member relations activities (communications, round table meetings, etc.).
  • Investigate Ethics Point matters.
  • Deliver team member relations training classes.
  • Maintain knowledge of TBA organization, plants, processes, products, and terminology.

Job description

Human Resources Specialist - Bilingual role supporting team member relations and related HR programs across the Americas.

Responsibilities
  • Resolve team member relations issues through daily interaction with team members and department leaders; provide feedback to team member relations management
  • Support consistent, fair application of TBA policy and past practice
  • Conduct exit interviews and review results with the HR team
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to draft policies and procedures
  • Ensure standardized, policy-compliant hiring for hourly team members
  • Review terminations
  • Assist with negotiating service contracts
  • Support administration of a team member opinion survey
  • Analyze team member morale using information gathered through multiple methods
  • Execute team member relations activities (communications, round table meetings, and related efforts)
  • Investigate Ethics Point matters
  • Deliver team member relations-related training classes
  • Maintain working knowledge of TBA organization, automotive plants and processes/principles, company products, trade terminology, and manufacturing processes
  • May assist with TBA social activities and community relations activities
  • Support HR team as needed in the absence of HR members
  • Administer benefit programs
  • Assist with company leave of absence policy administration coordinated with a centralized outsourced Third Party Administrator (TPA)
  • Manage programs/events promoting preventive awareness and health lifestyle choices that support favorable impact on company benefit programs
  • Lead administration of company benefits programs including medical and other insurances and 401k
  • Lead or provide support as new programs arise
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • PHR or SPHR designation preferred
  • Greater than 6 years of relevant HR generalist experience with advanced experience in a HR/team member relations role
  • Corporate and manufacturing setting experience required
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and prioritize activities
  • Ability to take initiative on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to exercise exceptional independent judgment and discretion
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information encountered
  • Excellent project skills; ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs
  • Ability to create reports, business correspondence, and procedures
  • Ability to compile clear, concise visual reports in charts, graphs, and tables
  • Ability to maintain appropriate level of conventionality and conformance with corporate culture
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected and/or ongoing workplace situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
  • Solid working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, databases, desktop publishing, and presentation applications (preferably Microsoft Office)
  • Experience working with large scale HRIS and other enterprise systems; Oracle experience preferred
