Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate workers’ compensation claims from injury reporting through claim closure, ensuring timely reporting, documentation, regulatory compliance, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between employees, supervisors, insurance carriers, medical providers, attorneys, and third-party administrators, while monitoring work restrictions and supporting return-to-work efforts.
  • Conduct workplace incident investigations and partner with Safety and Operations teams to identify corrective actions, promote workplace safety, and reduce future injury risks.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on company policies, procedures, workplace expectations, and employee relations matters.
  • Administer and support employee disciplinary and corrective action processes, including coaching, documentation, performance improvement plans, suspensions, and terminations.
  • Partner with managers and supervisors to address employee performance, attendance, conduct, workplace behavior concerns, and employee relations investigations involving complaints, misconduct, and policy violations.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation while ensuring compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, company policies, and employment practices.
  • Prepare HR reports and track metrics related to workers’ compensation claims, safety incidents, attendance, discipline, and turnover.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures, as well as employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities.
  • Perform other human resources duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation claims administration, including claim reporting, MPNs, DWC forms, workers’ compensation documentation, and TPD/TTD benefits.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred), Microsoft Office, Outlook, and related business applications.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while demonstrating professionalism, initiative, adaptability, dependability, and sound judgment.
