- Strong knowledge of human resource practices, employment laws, and confidentiality protocols
- Proficient with computer programs including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with state credentialing requirements and collective bargaining agreements, preferred
- Experience in human resources or personnel administration, preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Coordinate recruitment processes including job postings, applicant tracking, screening, scheduling interviews, and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files in accordance with state and federal requirements
- Process employment actions such as new hires, transfers, leaves of absence, and terminations, and reporting to payroll coordinator
- Assist with employee relations issues and investigations, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Support training, testing and professional development initiatives, including management and tracking of SafeSchools Training modules
- Stay current on employment law, district policy updates, and HR best practices in public education
- Manage and process injury and accident reports involving staff, students, and visitors; coordinate related Workers’ Compensation claims
- Process and coordinate athletic injury insurance claims
- Coordinate FMLA paperwork and processes for all district staff, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Manage and respond to unemployment insurance claims and related documentation
- Serve as the district’s point of contact for PERA information requests.
- Act as point of contact for questions related to Federal and State labor law compliance; maintain and update required labor law postings
- Remove system access for terminated employees and ensure timely communication to relevant departments; ensures proper off-boarding
- Assists with registration of any necessary training or testing required for position compliance for support staff employees
- Lead the screening of all employees, substitutes and volunteers (background checks, fingerprinting, ICHAT, etc.) in compliance with school safety legislation
- Assists administrators with evaluations and plans of assistance/support for district employees.
- Fiscal support of Special Revenue Funds including assisting with cash deposits and bank reconciliations
- Reviews and reconciles EduStaff substitute invoices for payment
- Perform such other tasks and responsibilities as the Director of Business Operations may assign.
Salary/Benefits: Starting $18.50 - commensurate with experience; 8 hours/day; 260/261 days’ work year
