Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking an HR Specialist to support the day-to-day HR operations. You will deliver high-level customer service to colleagues, maintain employee records, assist with recruitment, and help implement HR initiatives to align with company goals.

You will onboard new hires, ensure compliance with labor laws, and engage in programs that foster a positive workplace culture. This role offers hybrid work arrangements and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience, experience working in a fast paced, professional team environment preferred.
• Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the HR team, including maintaining employee records, processing payroll, and assisting with recruitment efforts.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs that align with the organization’s goals.
• Conduct new employee onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
• Maintain compliance with labor laws and regulations, ensuring that HR practices are in line with legal requirements.
• Participate in employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

A day in the life.
