Human Resources Specialist
You are detail-oriented, knowledgeable, organized, energetic and a dependable person driven by a common Human Resources goal: to provide amazing service to all with whom we come in contact. Working behind the scenes, you make a significant impact on the people you support as well as on students and staff throughout the District. You are adept at leading and managing a variety of simultaneous projects, which requires the particular talent of being able to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholder groups. You are also eager to learn all you can about Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Create job postings on district website, MOREAP, and Indeed
- Update and provide job descriptions from HRIS platforms
- Post-Board List processing for certified, support, coaches, and substitutes (along with Office Coordinator)
- Fully execute the New Hire Onboarding Process (summer school, coaches included) - scheduling, data entry, and customer service.
- Submit I-9 verifications through E-Verify
- Fully execute the Off-boarding Process - using HRIS platforms, data entry, and customerservice.
- Fully maintain Workers' Compensation Process with 3rd party administrators
- Manage all certified and support staff employee absences
- Plan and attend Recruiting Events & Job Fairs
- MACHS Rap Back Validations/vendor background check clearance
- Create ongoing departmental guides for HR processes and procedures
- Assist Finance department with functions related to Human Resources department
- Core Data Processing: Prepare and gather data related to hiring at start of recruiting season
- Participation in employee retention and engagement initiatives
- Special projects as assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- The qualifications noted below are required to enable the employee to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of this position.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Three-five years in a human resources related position preferably a school system
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems). This includes: Frontline, TalentEd, SIS FIN, Vector Safe Schools, MACHS, or other HRIS platforms
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously focused on results
- Must be comfortable interfacing at all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Google Workspace
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
