Colbert Packaging is seeking an entry-level Human Resource Specialist to help the team excel, handling onboarding, compliance, and payroll support in a fast-paced environment.

You will establish new hires in Ready/PEO systems, assist with recruiting, track training, and help manage benefits and 401(k). The company offers stability and growth in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of HR-related experience.
  • Familiarity with FMLA, EEO, ADA, and related laws.
  • Ability to connect and engage with teams at all levels.
  • Experience with Kronos/Ready and PEO systems desirable.
  • Maintain confidentiality and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support payroll function: review accuracy, monitor leaves, loans, and reports.
  • Onboard new hires in Ready and PEO; conduct orientation.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and personnel records.
  • Coordinate training and certifications tracking.
  • Support recruiting: postings, screening, offers.
  • Coordinate performance reviews and 401(k) enrollment.
  • Assist with benefit audits and accident investigations.

HR SPECIALIST OPPORTUNITY

Experience and Skills

About YOU:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources. Business administration, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • 2 or more years of HR related experience.
  • Familiarity with FMLA, EEO laws, ADA and other employment related state and federal laws and regulations required.

  • Experience with Kronos/Ready and PEO systems desirable.

The salary range estimate below is inclusive of all departments within the company and offered salaries may vary within the given range between departments. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this level is $57,300 to $71,600 annualized plus additional compensation and other competitive benefits.
