Job summary

Edfinancial Services in Knoxville, TN is seeking an HR Recruiting and Retention Specialist to attract, hire, and retain talent across the organization. You will support onboarding, employee engagement, and the development of strategic recruiting initiatives.

The role focuses on full-cycle recruitment, collaborating with managers, posting jobs, sourcing candidates, and administering pre-employment checks to ensure a strong onboarding experience and workforce readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3+ years of recruiting experience.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technology.
  • Experience with Indeed and LinkedIn recruiting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions including customer service and technical roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies and hiring timelines.
  • Create and post job advertisements on job boards, social media, and company career sites.
  • Source candidates through online platforms, networking, referrals, career fairs, and community partnerships.
  • Administer pre-employment assessments, background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records in the ATS.
  • Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, applicant sources and hiring effectiveness.
  • Partner with department leaders to ensure successful employee integration.
  • Analyze turnover trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate employee surveys and communicate action plans based on feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
  • Assist with HR projects, policy implementation, and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate personnel and recruiting records.
  • Prepare reports and HR Metrics for leadership.

What You’ll Do
