Our client is seeking an HR Project Management Lead to support a high-profile M&A integration already in progress. This person will lead project coordination across Compensation, Benefits, and broader HR workstreams, including the planned 2027 HRIS cutover for a newly acquired company into the client. The role requires someone who can quickly learn a complex project, bring structure to multiple workstreams, anticipate risks, and produce the detailed deliverables needed to keep teams moving. Detailed onboarding will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive project execution: Build and maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, weekly status reports, risk and issue logs, and reporting dashboards. Track milestones, dependencies, decisions, and follow-up items.
- Lead meetings and governance routines: Run project status meetings, leadership and team calls, partner checkpoints, and additional discussions needed to resolve issues or secure alignment. Prepare agendas, notes, summaries, and presentation materials.
- Support Compensation and Benefits: Coordinate day-to-day activities across Total Rewards workstreams, prepare for design sessions and leadership reviews, identify process gaps, and work with leads to resolve issues.
- Coordinate benefit plan implementation: Partner with NYL Technology, HRIS, Alight, Empower, and other stakeholders on implementation activities, communications, and onboarding of a non-payroll entity.
- Support the HRIS cutover: Schedule workshops, gather requirements, track deliverables, document processes, and coordinate testing, data readiness, and issue resolution across HRIS, HR, Technology, and business teams.
- Turn direction into action: Translate HR leadership priorities into workplans and clear updates. Create process flows, diagrams, charts, and summary tables when needed to advance decisions and execution.
- Manage stakeholders and risks: Identify risks and blockers early, coordinate mitigation with workstream leads, elevate decisions promptly, and keep HR, Finance, Technology, and business partners aligned.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of program or project management experience, including ownership of plans, trackers, status reporting, meetings, risks, and issue resolution.
- Ability to join a complex project already underway, learn quickly, and drive progress across multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with VLOOKUP and pivot tables preferred.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work at both the project level and the hands‑on deliverable level, from anticipating dependencies to drafting meeting notes and process documentation.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Total Rewards, HRIS implementations, M&A integration, or other large-scale HR initiatives.
- Basic knowledge of compensation and benefits plans, such as 401(k), short- and long-term incentives, deferred compensation, and health and wellness benefits.
- Familiarity with technical data feeds between systems.
