Job summary

The Biddeford, Dayton, and Saco School Departments, along with the Southern Maine Administrative Collaborative, are seeking a Human Resource Specialist with a focus on Personnel Operations to join our Human Resources team.

This year-round position reports to the Director of Human Resources and supports all aspects of personnel operations, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, employee records, contracts, licensure tracking, and HR compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
• Minimum of five years human resource-related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience is desirable.
• Current State of Maine Criminal History Records Check approval or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment, hiring, onboarding processes.
• Maintain employee records and employment documentation.
• Manage contracts and licensure tracking.
• Ensure HR compliance and confidentiality.

• Maintaining confidentiality and strong organizational skills
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor's degree [or equivalent experience].
• SHRM or PHR Professional Human Resource Certification preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years human resource-related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience is desirable.
• Current State of Maine Criminal History Records Check approval or ability to obtain.

Compensation

Based on education and experience

Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000

FLSA Status

Exempt. Salaried position, year-round.
