Job description

The HR Operations Partner will lead and optimize core HR processes and systems to support a large, distributed hourly workforce across multiple locations nationwide. This role focuses on scalable HR service delivery, compliance, and operational efficiency-ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience across all sites and teams .

LOCATION

This position is fully remote and can be located anywhere in the continental United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement consistent HR policies and procedures across all locations, manage handbook and policy review processes
  • Own the routine review, updates, and communication of new and updated policies in partnership with Legal
  • Ensure HRBPs and leaders have the tools, checklists, and guidance needed to support teams effectively and consistently
  • Document internal HR processes to ensure consistency

Proactive Compliance - 20%

  • In partnership with Legal team, ensure policies are in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including but not limited to wage & hour laws, OSHA, OFCCP, and EEO regulations
  • Manage I-9 Compliance Process including reverification, E-Verify, and performing audits to ensure compliance
  • Conduct regular audits to identify potential compliance gaps and development of action plans to address them
  • Support Annual Compliance Training initiatives

Field HR Support & Coordination - 10%

  • Act as the central operational hub between corporate HR and field/location HR teams
  • Ensure frontline HR teams are trained on policies, systems, and compliance updates
  • Develop toolkits and job aids tailored to hourly managers and supervisors
  • Generate and distribute accurate Workday reports to stakeholders across HR, Finance, and IT, ensuring data integrity and providing insights for decision-making
  • Assist with Workday testing efforts for configuration projects and enhancements, ensuring system changes are validated and properly implemented without disrupting existing workflows
  • Conduct routine Workday data audits, identifying and correcting inaccuracies in contractor end dates, supervisory organization structures, and HR program processes

Team Support & Interaction - 10%

  • Act as intake on Workday Help tickets, reviewing for themes and opportunities to drive clarity
  • Support legal requests for documentation and reports

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in employment law and compliance
  • 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably with exposure to HR operations or shared services
  • 1-3 years of experience with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices
  • High attention to detail, data integrity, and a passion for creating efficient, people-first processes
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative mindset and a desire to make a positive impact on company culture

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
