Qualifications

Location: Remote in CA

Salary: $80,000-$85,000

Position Details:

The People Operation Partner collaborates with operations to ensure effective communication with staff, facilitate manager/employee relationships, and recommend appropriate resolutions regarding corrective actions, investigations, and HR policies. Provides consultative advice and education to reduce legal risks and promote a positive work environment.

  • Facilitate employee relations issues resolution, including investigations and communication.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, coaching and empowering them on people issues.
  • Conduct internal investigations into allegations such as harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
  • Develop tools and resources to improve employee experience and mitigate legal risks.
  • Maintain confidential employee files and document cases via the HR Case Tracker.
  • Promote understanding and compliance with HR policies through coaching, presentations, and training.
  • Analyze HR trends and partner internally to improve processes and develop strategies, programs, and policies.
  • Implement retention strategies aligned with organizational initiatives.
  • Support management with performance management, including performance improvement and termination processes.
  • Respond to EEOC and third-party charges, collaborating with legal teams.
  • Provide education on ER issues to management and staff.
  • Support accommodation processes in partnership with leadership and in accordance with policies and laws.
  • Participate in developing and refining HR policies and practices.
  • Support HR team efforts and collaborate with Labor Relations on grievances and mediation.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Master's in HR or business (preferred)
  • SHRM/HRCI certification (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years in HR/Employee Relations or 5 years of relevant generalist experience
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations
  • Knowledge of employment law at the federal level, with the ability to interpret updates and changes
