Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC in the greater Knoxville area is seeking an HR Manager for the Trucking / Transportation division, overseeing 450+ drivers and support staff including terminal managers, dispatchers, routers, and driver supervisors.

You will coordinate Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screenings, and DOT Physicals, and lead interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new drivers, while maintaining and developing benefits, training, and retention programs.

Qualifications

• BS degree and PHR or SPHR certification required.
• FMCSA compliance experience and Driver Qualification files required.
• Experience in Trucking/Transportation or logistics industry.
• Interviewing, hiring and onboarding drivers experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screenings, and DOT Physicals.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding for drivers and supervise two HR Generalists/Recruiters.
• Develop and manage employee benefits, retention initiatives, and training programs.
• Oversee multi-site HR activities with limited travel.

Job description

Major corporation in the greater Knoxville TN area has immediate opening for an HR Manager in their Trucking / Transportation division employing 450+ truck drivers and support personnel including terminal managers, dispatchers, routers, driver supervisors, etc. The HR Manager will lead two HR Generalists / Recruiters. This is a multi-site role, but travel is not significant.

The HR Manager will ensure Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screenings, and DOT Physicals are coordinated and in compliance. Will be heavily involved in interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding new drivers.

The HR Manager will also maintain employee benefit programs in addition to developing new programs focusing on retention, employee development, and training.

Qualified candidates will have BS degree along with PHR or SPHR certification. Experience with FMCSA Compliance and Driver Qualification files is required. Must have previous experience in Truck Driving / Transportation industry or related Logistics field.
