Mentoring Alliance seeks a part-time Human Resources Manager to strengthen recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement in Tyler, TX. In this role, you will help attract mission-aligned talent and support a consistent, positive employee experience, while working closely with HR leadership and hiring managers to advance culture, retention, and performance support.
What you’ll do
- Lead recruiting strategy and execution aligned with organizational and regional full-time staffing needs.
- Partner with Hiring Managers and the Staffing Coordinator to maintain an efficient and consistent recruiting process.
- Own the offer process and onboarding experience by coordinating with HR Operations, Hiring Managers, and the Staffing Coordinator.
- Improve the candidate and new employee experience through clear communication, timely follow-up, and consistent recruiting practices.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives that deepen employees’ connection to Mentoring Alliance’s mission and values.
- Use employee feedback and engagement data to identify needs and continuously improve talent and engagement strategies.
- Provide employee support in partnership with the Sr. Director, HR and Recruiting, including support for performance management processes and equipping managers to address performance expectations consistently.
- Coordinate training and development efforts that build manager and employee capability.
- Partner with MA leaders on compensation decisions for direct reports and team alignment with the compensation strategy.
- Consult on HR strategy, policies, compliance, HR systems, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives within the scope of the role.
- Collaborate with the Manager, HR Operations and organizational leaders to maintain aligned, practical, and employee-centered HR practices.
- Serve on appropriate committees and attend meetings and board meetings as requested.
- Strengthen teamwork, collaboration, alignment, morale, transparency, credibility, and trust throughout the ministry, and support other assigned tasks, projects, or roles.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources (required).
- Bachelor’s degree and/or certification in Human Resources (highly preferred).
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal communication.
- 2+ years of high-level administrative work (required).
- Proven attention to detail and compliance (required).
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and the pace of the organization.
- Reliable transportation required; some local travel required.
