Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions in the Houston area is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead the HR department, support full HR scope, and partner with leadership on strategic initiatives. This is a full-time, exempt role with responsibilities spanning recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compliance, employee communications, and policy development.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of HR management experience in a corporate or international setting, a bachelor's degree, and PHR/SPHR

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Operations Management, or related field.
  • PHR / SPHR and other HR-related certificate.
  • At least 10 years' experience in Human Resources in a corporate company or international organization.
  • 10+ years' HR Management experience.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and managing HR functions.
  • HR business strategy experience.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills.
  • Leader, multi-tasker, and flexible worker under a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all the Human Resources Department and HR-related activities.
  • Make hiring decisions after completion of interviews and reviews of candidates.
  • Create new on-boarding programs to implement for new hires.
  • Responsible for employee communication, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Responsible for payroll and benefit administration.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Oversee payroll processing, vacation, attendance, FMLA, workers compensation, etc.
  • Develop new HR - Human Resources programs for employees, and manage compliance with labor laws.
  • Conduct HR - Human Resources meetings on how to implement new initiatives.
  • Report to the company headquarters and upper management working closely with them.
