Job summary

Eckerd Connects in Washington, DC, seeks an Human Resources Manager to oversee HR programs, recruitment, and compliance across our centers. The role emphasizes policy administration, compensation, and staff development to support program goals.

This position requires a high school diploma, 3 years HR experience, and a commitment to diversity and safety. The location is Potomac Job Corps, Washington, DC, with PSLF employer status.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years Human Resources experience required preferred.
  • Labor relations experience and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

  • The Human Resources Manager is responsible for administration of Human Resource programs involving compensation; rewards; corporate assessments; policy management and general administration.
  • Administers recruitment, screening and hiring program for all center staff.
  • Monitors all personnel and employment practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Monitors Center worker's compensation and OSHA programs.
  • The Human Resources Manager develops and implements an effective new hire orientation, staff development and training programs.

Annual Salary: $80,000

Additional Requirements

Skilled in policy administration, compensation, and rewards management. Must be able to conduct data analysis relating to human resources metrics. Ability to compose descriptive reports; use appropriate techniques to implement programmatic activities; verbally direct individuals and groups; remedy dysfunctional behavior; intervene with students in crisis with aggression control/ safe physical management restraint techniques.
