Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking a Work Based Learning Coordinator in Texas to drive the School to Career/Work Based Learning program. You will coordinate with employers, instructors, students, and staff to ensure program success and develop work site opportunities that align with training needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with preference for marketing or counseling background and supervisory experience. A valid driver's license and background check are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or four years' professional experience working with youth preferred.
  • Two years' experience in marketing, sales, or counseling related areas preferred.
  • Prefer supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Pass drug screen per policy.
  • Background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates development and implementation of the School to Career/Work Based Learning program.
  • Facilitates meetings with employers, instructors, students, and center staff to ensure program success.
  • Generates work site opportunities matching training capabilities with employers' requirements.
  • Serves as liaison with Career Technical Training and Career Transition Services departments.
  • Visits work sites bi-monthly to cultivate relationships; coordinates guest speakers for classrooms.

Salary Rate: $40,000

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Work Based Learning Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of the School to Career/Work Based Learning program.
  • Facilitates meetings and activities to bring together the appropriate persons, including employers, instructors, students, and center staff to ensure the success of the School to Career/Work-Based Learning program.
  • Generates work site opportunities that best match the training capabilities and needs of trainees with employers' requirements.
  • The Work Based Learning Coordinator serves as liaison with both the Career Technical Training and Career Transition Services departments in facilitating the coordination of the campuses Work-Based Learning program.
  • Visits established work sites at least bi-monthly to cultivate work site relationships. Coordinate, periodically, guest speakers in career training classrooms to allow the vocational instructors to visit work sites and trainees as required for the success of the Work-Based Learning program.
