The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in progressive HR roles within manufacturing, plus strong labor relations experience and a track record of developing frontline leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing.
  • 3+ years supporting a unionized workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of labor relations, collective bargaining agreements, and grievance administration.
  • Experience leading employee relations investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated success developing frontline leaders and supervisory talent.
  • Knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement leadership development programs for supervisors, team leads, and emerging leaders.
  • Coach managers on employee relations, performance management, accountability, and effective leadership practices.
  • Develop succession planning and talent review processes.
  • Lead training initiatives focused on leadership skills, communication, engagement, and workforce development.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Partner with operational leaders to forecast workforce needs and lead recruiting for hourly, technical, and salaried positions.
  • Develop onboarding programs to accelerate employee success and retention.
  • Support workforce diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations matters, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee performance management processes and annual talent reviews.
  • Monitor HR metrics like turnover, retention, absenteeism, and engagement.
  • Ensure policy compliance and labor law adherence.
  • Lead labor relations with union and non-union employees; administer collective bargaining agreements.
  • Support contract negotiations and labor strategy initiatives.
