Job summary

COE Press Equipment, a Sterling Heights, MI-based manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to partner with leadership and drive HR initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

You will lead recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations while designing HR strategies to support growth, workforce development, and retention. Ensure benefits administration and OSHA compliance through training, audits, and safety programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Safety Management, or related field, Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing safety programs and OSHA compliance in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience leading emergency response or first aid teams preferred.
  • Professional HR certification and/or safety certification preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled at problem‑solving and making practical decisions that balance compliance with business needs.
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion.
