Job summary

NR Consulting, a renewable energy manufacturing organization, seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and strengthen HR at its Seattle-area facility. Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve HR policies, processes and long-term people strategies.
  • Develop and implement employee training, onboarding, leadership development and engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to promote workplace safety, compliance and employee development.
  • Manage performance management programs, employee evaluations and professional development.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits administration, personnel records and leave management.
  • Lead employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions and grievance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, EEOC and related regulations.
  • Support international travel processes, including compensation and per diem policies.

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the renewable energy industry, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and strengthen its HR function at its manufacturing facility.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about attracting top talent, developing employees, improving workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and long-term people strategies.
  • Develop and implement employee training, onboarding, leadership development, and engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to promote best workplace practices, safety compliance, and employee development.
  • Manage performance management programs, employee evaluations, and professional development initiatives.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits administration, personnel records, and leave management.
  • Lead employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws, including EEOC, Workers' Compensation, unemployment regulations, and HR reporting.
  • Develop, communicate, and administer HR policies and procedures.
  • Support international travel processes, including compensation, per diem, and travel-related policies.
  • Evaluate HR programs and recommend continuous process improvements.
  • Plan and coordinate company-sponsored employee events and engagement activities.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture focused on employee satisfaction, retention, and performance.
  • Build relationships with community organizations and represent the company with local agencies when appropriate.
  • Support effective communication between employees and leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations with 250+ employees.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR Certification.
  • ADP experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Knowledge of international employee travel policies and related compensation processes.
