Lead HR for an acquisitive, PE-backed organization, reporting directly to the CFO.
Our client is a private equity-backed services organization. It has a growing workforce across the US and Europe and continues to expand through strategic acquisitions. As the company's first dedicated Human Resources Manager, you will lead the full people function and serve as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and the executive team. This role suits a decisive, hands-on HR leader who takes ownership and delivers results in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment.
Projects You'll Work On
- Bring new companies into the fold. Join acquisitions from diligence through day one and beyond. You'll align pay and benefits, welcome new employees, and blend org charts across borders.
- Rethink how payroll and benefits are delivered. Assess the current PEO arrangement and recommend the best long-term path. Then run US payroll and coordinate overseas payroll with local partners.
- Refresh the employee handbook and keep policies current across multiple states and countries.
- Own the benefits calendar, including medical, 401(k), open enrollment, and the annual broker review.
- Create structure around pay with clear salary ranges, offer guidelines, and consistent practices company-wide.
- Launch a performance review process with a predictable rhythm that managers actually use.
- Support a mixed hourly and salaried workforce with practical manager coaching and early resolution of employee issues.
- Make the data work. Keep the HRIS clean and turn it into reporting leadership relies on.
- Work with local counsel and providers to keep European operations compliant. Help hiring managers with postings and candidate logistics.
What Experience You Should Bring
Must-haves

- Generalist experience across hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and exits.

- A history of building something new and finishing it with minimal direction.
- Acquisition or integration experience, or time at a PE-backed or multi-location company.
- International HR or payroll experience managed through outside partners.
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR.
- A second language.
