Entech Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced, strategic HR professional to lead our Human Resources function. This role oversees the full scope of HR operations across our six Pennsylvania office locations and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. The HR Manager leads the department while also contributing to firm-wide initiatives that intersect with Corporate Services, risk management, and strategic operations.
What You’ll Do
People and Culture Strategy
- Lead the HR function and align HR strategy with organizational goals and values
- Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership on workforce planning, policy design, and organizational development
- Supervise and mentor the HR Administrative Assistant
- Support and coach supervisors through performance management, employee relations, and engagement
- Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture through communication and engagement initiatives
- Support and assist HR Administrative Assistant with full-life cycle recruitment.
- Ensure consistent use and improvement of UKG Ready
- Maintain employee data integrity within HRIS and coordinate seamless onboarding experiences
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to design and support professional growth initiatives
- Coordinate and facilitate supervisor training and corporate lunch and learns
- Advise managers on employee relations, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans
- Coordinate with legal counsel as needed to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
- Lead the performance review process and provide training/support to supervisors
- Administer the Best Places to Work in PA survey, analyze results, and present action plans to leadership
- Monitor and support employee engagement
- Maintain and optimize HRIS systems (UKG and Vantagepoint)
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports (PTO, compliance audits, billable hours, etc.)
- Draft, revise, and implement HR policies and the Employee Handbook
- Serve as a strategic partner to the President and senior leaders on firm-wide initiatives and special projects
- Support governance, process improvement, and strategic planning efforts
- Administer and renew employee benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D, STD/LTD, HSA/FSA, COBRA, and 401(k)
- Partner with benefits consultants and vendors to manage open enrollment, plan design, and ACA compliance
- Partner with Accounting on payroll oversight, compensation updates, and year-end adjustments
- Research and provide recommendations based on compensation benchmarking
- Coordinate company-wide 401(k) education sessions with financial advisors
- Manage 401(k) and Health & Wellness audits, Workers’ Compensation audit, unemployment claims, EEOC/DOL reporting
- Maintain multi-state compliance and support remote workforce needs
- Coordinate W-2s, 1095s, Summary Annual Reports, and other year-end compliance documents
- Manage OSHA reporting, state/federal filings, and compliance submissions
- Coordinate OSHA and safety training
- Review and approve or reconcile discrepancies on benefit invoices
- Other duties as assigned or required
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with leadership and generalist background
- Proven knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and HR systems
- Experience supporting multi-state compliance and distributed employee populations
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, business management, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with UKG Ready required
- Experience in the engineering or professional services industry required
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification strongly preferred
