An established industry player is seeking a seasoned HR professional to lead their Employee Services Department. Work Days and Expected Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)
Function: Assumes responsibilities related to risk management mitigation, and the planning, directing, and controlling of activities related to the human resources functions of the bank.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of the Employee Services Department by:
Formulating goals, strategies, policies, and procedures, and directing their implementation.
Recommending employment decisions, performance appraisals, salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, or terminations.
Monitoring staffing and financial requirements to maintain productivity.
Guiding personnel to achieve optimal performance.
Supports and coordinates corporate training, including supervisory and management practices.
Providing recommendations to Lines of Business (LOB) to identify training needs.
Supporting management development for succession planning.
Coordinates employee assessment by developing career paths and performance improvement plans with managers.
Guiding employees on career path options based on interests.
Oversees core HR functions including:
Help Hands administration and reconciliation.
Employee overdraft decisions and counseling.
Employee Assistance Program, especially related to robbery response.
Emergency communication during weather or pandemic events.
Job analysis and related enhancements.
Participates in developing strategies for record keeping, payroll, personnel records, and recruitment.
Interprets and communicates policies, benefits, and prepares Employee Handbook.
Provides outreach to maintain good communication with employees.
Supports LOB Succession Planning, including leadership development and training updates.
Maintains employee relations through organizing events and fostering a positive environment.
Recommends organizational changes, including hiring and transfers, and screens candidates.
Interfaces with service providers like HRIS, legal, auditors, and consultants for cost-effective services.
Works on special projects such as cost analysis, incentive plans, cultural surveys, and training.
Coordinates merger and acquisition activities related to onboarding, training, and cultural integration.
Maintains good relationships with employees, works independently and as part of a team, and assumes additional responsibilities as needed.
Physical Demands
Requires manual dexterity for typing and data entry up to 40% of the day. Travel within the bank's footprint. Vision requirements include close vision for computer work. Accommodations can be made for disabilities.
Education
Requires a four-year college degree or equivalent. SHRM-SCP certification is mandatory.
Experience
Requires over ten years of general business and HR experience, with 5-10 years in the banking industry.

Salary Range:
$95,000.00 - $270,000.00
