Location: 1405 Shady Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15217

Salary Range: $86,700 to $102,000 (salaried)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full Time

Job Overview

The Human Resources Manager acts as a trusted partner to advance a consistent, legally compliant, and performance-driven employee experience. Responsibilities include managing HR compliance, onboarding, documentation, workers’ compensation, and operational HR processes. The role ensures accurate record keeping and leads audits and data requests. As a cross-functional collaborator, the HR Manager supports workplace systems, compliance documentation, and onboarding workflows to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the onboarding process, including background checks, paperwork, system access, and readiness for new hires.
  2. Supervise and support the HR Coordinator in administrative and documentation tasks.
  3. Ensure all HR records and personnel files are accurate, secure, and audit-ready.
  4. Oversee compliance with labor regulations such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, etc.
  5. Collaborate with the Compliance and HR Director on audits, legal inquiries, and regulatory reviews.
  6. Support postings, tracking logs, and audit reports (e.g., OSHA, FLSA).
  7. Maintain onboarding guides and checklists in partnership with the HR and People Strategy teams.
  8. Handle workplace injury and incident documentation, ensuring timely reporting.
  9. Coordinate offboarding activities, including resignation tracking, termination documentation, and exit checklists.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or 10+ years of experience.
  • At least 5 years of HR management experience focusing on compliance, employee and labor relations, and workers’ compensation.
  • Experience with HRIS management is required; ATS management experience is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • Clearances: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal, and Act 33 Child Abuse Clearances.
