Come grow with us … We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in Paulding Ohio, while also supporting the NTA team in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio. This position will have a strong focus on recruitment for all levels of the organization in addition to performing other human resources and payroll functions.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Performs a variety of complex and routine administrative, technical, and professional human resources functions including policies, programs, and procedures to ensure stable associate relations, productive work environment, and company goals and objectives. Coordinate and administers (by means of proactive planning, action, and maintenance), directly or indirectly, the Human Resources functions for the plant in assigned area(s) of Benefits, Compensation, Employment/ Recruitment, HRIS, Payroll, Staffing, Training, and Associate Relations. This position will also have some accounts receivables and accounts payables responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Serve as an associate advocate in conflict or corrective action situations to ensure fair and consistent treatment.
  2. Ensure that NASG, Company, and HR policies, practices, and procedures are properly and consistently administered and lead to fair and consistent treatment of associates.
  3. Assist in administration of compensation and benefit programs and other associate services (e.g., voluntary purchase discount programs, company uniforms, etc.) that support Company philosophy, profitability, and success.
  4. Provide assistance and coordination in the maintenance and management of specialized human resource information and measurement/reporting systems.
  5. Support associate communication, involvement, and recognition activities including service awards, all-associate events, business review communication meetings, etc.
  6. Assist with employment and recruitment processes for filling hourly and salaried positions with internal and external personnel due to attrition, promotions, and transfers.
  7. Assist with education, training, and organizational development efforts.
  8. Prepare and assist with personnel administration activities.
  9. Coordinate employment and administration of temporary associates.
  10. Provide support and assistance with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security activities as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business Administration, HR Management, or related discipline is required.
  • Master's degree in related field and/or Professional certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • At least five (5) years of relevant human resources generalist experience and academic preparation. Experience in a manufacturing setting experience preferred.
  • Experience in interviewing, project management, change management, and conflict management/resolution.
  • Knowledge and organizational skills necessary to maintain company records in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Knowledge of federal, provincial, and state employment laws of relevant country including, but not limited to, the following: FLSA, FMLA, ERISA, ADA, EEO, HIPAA, Workers' Compensation, etc.
  • Demonstrated positive associate relations activities.
  • Experience with talent management, including recruitment, succession planning, and associate development.
  • Previous experience in creating presentations and delivering to large groups.

Personal/Technical Skills:

  • Strong attention to details are required.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious self-starter.
  • General understanding of Project Management skills.
  • Organizational skills to assist in project planning and implementation.
  • Must have a problem solving mind set and a positive attitude.
  • Must have the ability to work with all levels of the organization as well as suppliers.
  • Will need flexibility to work a schedule that allows completion of assigned duties on a daily and weekly basis.

Language Skills:

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.

Computer/Software:

  • Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Internet, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge and experience with HRIS. Ceridian Dayforce Highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

Plant: Various types of manufacturing environments.

Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level.

PPE ( Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, Kevlar sleeves, hearing protection, etc. may be required in designated engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.

Involves moderate or occasional presence of some slightly disagreeable conditions, i.e., cold, dust, heat, odor, etc.

The associate must frequently lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
