HR Manager, ManufacturingMinnesota | Full Time | $100,000 to $110,000 + Annual Bonus
Join global manufacturer of advanced technology products across aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial sectors. The Minnesota facility is one of the company's flagship plants and a major employer, with 500 to 600 employees and growing across four shifts, including weekends. This is a state-of-the-art, clean, fully air-conditioned facility, including clean-room environments, producing a range of advanced products. The plant regularly hosts major customers for tours and is known for a strong, long-tenured employee culture. We are seeking an HR Manager to lead employee relations and recruiting for the plant, ensuring compliance with company policy and federal and state employment regulations, while helping preserve the culture that has made this a long-term employer of choice in the community.
What You Will Do:
- Lead recruiting and employee relations efforts, ensuring compliance, fairness, and consistency across the plant
- Manage a team of two direct reports, an HR Generalist and an HR Administrator/Receptionist
- Serve as a trusted resource to plant leadership and employees on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and policy questions
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, and maintain the co-worker handbook
- Support training initiatives, including onboarding, handbook review, and harassment prevention
- Conduct plant tours and audits, including attendance, HR recordkeeping, and general compliance
- Partner with in-house counsel on employment matters, including unemployment claims and legal proceedings
- Present HR updates at co-worker and leadership meetings
- Lead full-cycle recruiting, from interviewing through offer and onboarding
- Guide performance management, up to and including disciplinary action and terminations
What We Are Looking For:
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including recruiting and employee relations leadership
- Experience in or exposure to a manufacturing environment, ideally including shift-based operations
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead change thoughtfully within an established, long-tenured workforce
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
The Details:
- Location: On-site in Rochester, MN. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates relocating to the area
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Shift 1
- Reporting structure: Reports to the Regional Director, with close day-to-day partnership with the local General Manager
- Compensation: $100,000 to $110,000 base, plus a 10% annual bonus target
