Stanley Black & Decker in Towson, MD, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our hybrid work model. You will be a strategic HR partner supporting Engineering and Product Execution, guiding performance, compensation, and employee relations for about 300 staff.

The role emphasizes collaboration with leaders, change management, onboarding, and HR program execution. A Bachelor's in HR or related field and 5–7 years of HR experience are preferred.

  • 5–7 years HR experience in roles such as HR Manager or HRBP.
  • Hybrid work onsite at Towson, MD Tuesday-Thursday.
  • Experience supporting Engineering/technical teams preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations and change management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with HR systems and MS Office applications.

  • Serve as a strategic and hands-on HR partner supporting 5 leaders within the Engineering team and approximately 300 employees.
  • Partner with Engineering leaders to align people strategies with business goals.
  • Support 300 employees across the full lifecycle.
  • Advise leaders on performance management, development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead annual HR processes such as merit planning and reviews.
  • Assist with onboarding, internal movement, promotions, and org changes.
  • Collaborate with HR partners on compensation, benefits, payroll, and training support.
  • Use HR metrics to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with HR policies and employment practices.

The Job:

As a Human Resources Manager, you’ll be part of our HR team supporting Product Execution & Engineering working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to:

  • Serve as a strategic and hands-on HR partner supporting5 leaders within the Engineering team and approximately 300 employees. The position combines business partnership, employee relations, talent support, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and day-to-day HR execution.
  • Partner directly withEngineering leadersto align people strategies with business priorities and organizational goals.
  • Support approximately 300 employeesacross the full employee lifecycle.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with leaders and employees while providing sound HR guidance and coaching.
  • Advise leaders onperformance management, employee development, talent planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support annual HR processes such asmerit planning, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Partner with leaders onemployee relations matters, including coaching, performance concerns, workplace issues, and policy interpretation.
  • Facilitate onboarding, internal movement, promotions, and organizational changes.
  • Collaborate with HR partners and centers of excellence on compensation, benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, and training support.
  • Lead or supportchange managementinitiatives and communications tied to business and team priorities.
  • Use HR metrics, reporting, and workforce insights to inform decision-making and improve business outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes and employee experience.
The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of HR experience, ideally in aHuman Resources Manager, HR Business Partner, or senior HR generalistcapacity.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity being onsite at our Towson, Maryland office Tuesday through Thursday, and as business needs require.
  • Experience supportingEngineering, technical, or corporate client groupspreferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, performance management, change management, and employment standards.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications, especiallyExcel, PowerPoint, and Word.

The Salary range for this position is $77,600.00 - $124,900.00
