Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager for the Lebanon facility in Lebanon, TN. You will provide coaching to Associates and plant management, lead HR initiatives, and partner with corporate HR to drive workforce effectiveness.

You will manage HR reporting, lead talent acquisition, investigations, and development plans, while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. This role reports to the Area HR Manager and supervises two associates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as HR Manager in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, safety, benefits, and payroll.
• In-depth knowledge of HR policies and procedures per federal, state, and local laws.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience driving Employee Engagement and retention initiatives.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and coaching to Associates and Management to meet company goals.
• Develop and maintain positive Associate relations through effective communication.
• Act as HRBP for Plant Management Team and interact with Associates on the Plant floor.
• Manage HR reports (Turnover, Headcount, Recruiting, Absenteeism, Safety, Engagement) and develop KPI improvement plans.
• Lead Talent Acquisition for hourly and salary roles and source external candidates.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions, including PIPs, for workplace issues.
• Support Leaders in developing development and retention plans for frontline leadership.
• Oversee the Lebanon HR Team and coordinate with Corporate HR on benefits administration.
• Ensure accurate time entry in UKG and alignment with corporate policies.
• Partner with Plant Leadership and Corporate HR to implement HR policies and initiatives.
• There are two direct reports; this role reports to the Area HR Manager.

As a Human Resources Manager, you will provide support and coaching to all Associates, including the Plant Human Resources Team, Plant Management, Supervisors, Leaders, and other Associates to meet all company goals and initiatives to support our external customers.

• Developing and maintaining positive Associate Relations through effective communication and prompt attention to Associate concerns.
• HR Business Partner as part of the Plant Management Team.
• Regular interaction with all Associates by spending time on the Plant floor with Associates and learning our manufacturing processes.
• Manage HR Reports (Turnover, Headcount, Recruiting, Absenteeism, Safety, Employee Engagement Events) related to the Lebanon facility and develop improvement plans to address KPIs if fall short of goals.
• Utilize Talent Acquisition strategies to fill open Hourly and Salary positions while identifying strategies to source external candidates.
• Lead Associate investigations and the development and delivery of corrective action steps, including developing and managing PIPs.
• Supporting and assisting Leaders in building development and retentions plans for frontline leadership.
• Oversee and develop the Lebanon Human Resources Team.
• Team with Corporate HR in the administration and training of benefit plans including medical, prescription drug coverage, dental, vision, STD, LTD, life insurance, and 401(K).
• Accountable for communication of Corporate initiatives, policies, and benefits to all Associates.
• Team with HR third-party services including Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, and others.
• Oversee the accurate and timely entry of work hours into UKG.
• Build positive work relationships with Plant Leadership team, Salary Team and the other HR Managers and Corporate HR Staff.
• Work closely with the Plant Manager to train, develop, and coach the management team.
• Lead efforts to align Plant practices with Plant and corporate policies and procedures, ensuring consistent implementation, compliance, and accountability throughout the facility.
• Work closely with the Corporate HR Team in managing all HR functions.
• There are two direct reports and this role reports to the Area HR Manager.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Human Resources Manager within a manufacturing environment. Automotive industry is a strong plus. Demonstrate solid knowledge of all Human Resources functions and will have a proven record of applying that knowledge and experience to help drive company success.
• Expertise in employment laws, labor relations, safety, benefits administration, and payroll.
• In-depth knowledge of HR policies and procedures based on federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Exhibit capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting Plant and Corporate objectives and deadlines.
• Lead development and maintenance of Employee Engagement, Retention Management, Performance Management, Teambuilding with a focus on inclusive work environment.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Advance proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and HRIS.
