  • Knowledge of HR compliance, onboarding, performance management, and policy application.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for office, operational, and field positions.
  • Develop relationships with trade schools, colleges, unions, and community orgs.
  • Coordinate onboarding and set 30-, 60-, 90-day expectations with managers.
  • Serve as a resource on policies, performance, and workplace concerns.
  • Assist investigations, corrective actions, documentation, and conflict resolution.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate programs for employees and leaders.
  • Support succession planning, performance reviews, recognition, engagement, and retention.
  • Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with employment laws and union requirements.
  • Partner with payroll, benefits, operations, and external advisors.
  • Assist with employee communications, recruiting campaigns, social media content, and company events.

Job description

A growing construction company is seeking an HR Manager to support both office and union field employees. This hands‑on position will partner with leadership on recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, training, engagement, and retention. The HR Manager will also assist with internal communications and employer-branding initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for office, operational, and field positions.

  • Coordinate onboarding and establish 30-, 60-, and 90-day expectations with managers.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding policies, performance, and workplace concerns.
