Company Description
The Housing Authority of Champaign County (HACC) is dedicated to creating quality living environments that help individuals reach their full potential. Since 1943, HACC has provided housing assistance across Champaign County through public housing and Section 8 programs funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In 2010, HACC earned the “Moving to Work” designation, enabling the agency to develop and test local, innovative strategies that support affordable housing and economic independence for low-income families. As an MTW agency, HACC can quickly adapt programs to community needs and changing economic conditions, especially in response to the ongoing affordable housing crisis. Guided by the vision of “Growing and Moving Forward Together,” HACC continues to expand housing options and collaborate with residents and communities to support long-term success.
